Abingdon's The Interpreter's Dictionary Of The Bible Connotations Of "The Scepter"

Genesis 49: 10 "Ruler's Staff "
Esther 4: 11 & Esther 8: 4 "The Mighty Scepter - Rod of Strength"
Ezekiel 19: 11, Ruler's Scepter

"The official staff or baton of the king, emblematic of his authority.  The staff like nature of the royal scepter is clear from the fact that the word translated "scepter" has a more general use for any kind of rod, as e.g., the shepherd's club (Psalms 23: 4) and the farmer's flail (Isaiah 28: 27), and is used in parallelism with the normal word for "staff" (Isaiah 14: 5.  See Rod; Club.

Two main types of scepter are pictured in ancient art; a long, slender staff with an ornamented head; and a short-handled battle mace, with a pear-shaped stone head three or four inches long.  The first is seen in a relief of the Persian King Darius, grasped in the right hand a little below the tip and with the butt resting on the floor between the king's feet, a position suggested by Genesis 49: 10.  The Persian royal scepter is mentioned in Esther 4: 11; Esther 5: 2 and Esther 8: 4, where we are informed that it was made of gold and was extended by the king toward a suppliant who had won his favor.  A scepter of this type is suggested by the metaphor in which the vine, Israel, grows tall and its strongest branch becomes a ruler's scepter (Ezekiel 19: 11).  The mace type of scepter appears in a relief of Esarhaddon of Assyria; and, since this form of scepter is a stylized military weapon, it serves well to symbolize the king's striking power, as the scepter  frequently does in the Old Testament."
" Scepter Shall Rise Out Of Israel;
It Shall Crush The Forehead Of Moab."
(Numbers 24: 17; cf. Psalms 125: 3, & Isaiah 14: 5)

Also notice Hebrews 1: 8, Psalms 45: 6

General Bishop Elder Leslie'Maelene Burnett's Connotations

Reverencing "The Holy One" "The Holy One Of Israel"    In the Old Testament, the title of Yehovah-Yahweh, Israel's God, especially in the prophecy of Isaiah 1: 4 Isaiah 10: 17 & 20.  In The New Testament the title is applied to the Messiah (Mark 1: 24;  Acts 3: 14; cf. 1 John 2; 20).

The Holy Sceptre has been used throughout the bible on many occasions and seasons.   It is primary associated with "The Holy Crown".  The Holy Sceptre is not only used with proclamations to destroy enemies, it is also used to reconcile and restore one to their place in Yehovah-Christ Jesus in accordance to Psalms 2: 7, "I Will declare the decree; the Lord hath said unto me, (General Bishop Elder Leslie'Maelene Burnett)Thou Art My Son (Daughter); this day have I begotten thee."

The Holy Sceptre is mandated with the declaration in Psalms 45: 6 & 7.  It presents the supremacy and loftiness of  "The  Monarchy" (The Kingdom and The Dominion) and beside the authoritative audible voice of Yehovah-Christ Jesus, His Written Word and His Divine Presence, "The Holy Sceptre"  exemplifies the sovereign power of  Himself (Yehovah-Christ Jesus).    When one scrutinizes and study "The Holy Sceptre" it depicts and portrays Yehovah-Christ Jesus not as "The Crucified Lamb"  However, it allows one to have a greater perception of the Messiaship and Kingship of Yehovah-Christ Jesus, that Jude declares, ""To The Only Wise God, (Yehovah-Christ Jesus), our Saviour, Be Glory And Majesty, Dominion, And Power both now and ever.  Amen.

The Psalmist describes the Hierarchy of Yehovah-Christ Jesus with such poetic words, he declares, "Thy Throne, O God, (Yehovah-Christos Jesus) is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.  Thou lovest righteousness and hatest wickedness; therefore God, Thy God (Yehovah-Yahweh) hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows."  Such words of affirmation; which indicates a testimony and denotes a personal experience!   A Established Forever Kingdom, Yehovah-Christ Jesus declared, "My Kingdom Is Not Of This World."   What Sovereignty is portrayed in the proclamation!  The Sceptre of His Kingdom, His Right Sceptre;  in other words, there is no flaws, there are no  defects.  The Sceptre Of His Kingdom, His Right Sceptre, His Righteousness and Judgments are perfect by itself and it rules, reconciles, and rebukes all by itself.

Understanding that The Sovereignty of "Thy Sceptre Of Thy Kingdom, His Right Sceptre of Yehovah-Christ Jesus.   The Psalmist also, describes The Throne of Yehovah-Christ Jesus "Eternal" such as "The Beloved Disciple, named, "John" who denotes the name of Yehovah-Christ Jesus "Eternal".
